Places available at dementia day club

25th September 2020, 11:52am | By Joanna Pazucha |

Alzheimer’s Support is inviting new members to join its Old Silk Works Day Club in Beech Avenue, Warminster.
The club offers a full day out in a supportive and stimulating environment for people living with dementia and provides a real break for family carers. No two days are the same at the Old Silk Works and activities include art therapy, weaving, cookery, board games, reminiscence therapy, dance, poetry and prose.
Alzheimer’s Support has carried out a thorough risk assessment and worked with Public Health England and Wiltshire Council to ensure its clubs are safe for members. Safety measures include strict infection control, staff wearing PPE as appropriate and activities in smaller groups.
