Wiltshire Council is supporting the Stoptober 2018 campaign, which has been launched by Public Health England and is promoting the message that quitting is easier with support.  The Stoptober challenge offers a free Personal Quit Plan to help smokers find the right support for them.  Smokers are much more likely to quit using the right support as opposed to quit unaided or go ‘cold turkey’. Wiltshire Council in partnership with businesses is once again offering grants to fund young athletes in their quest for success. Over the past five years, 34 potential champions in the county have benefited from funding, and the hunt is now on to find more sporting stars of the future.
