Our Warm and Safe Wiltshire advice service has funding to provide gas and/or electricity vouchers for households across Wiltshire who use prepayment meters to manage their energy. This funding expires on 15 September 2020 so act fast to ensure residents do not miss out.
If you come across any one in your work where residents have a prepayment meter (the meters that have a key or card to top up) and they:
- have been affected by the impact of Covid 19, either socially or economically; and
- are at risk of self-disconnection (i.e. they may run out of credit before they are next able to top up for themselves/they are struggling financially and find it difficult to top up their meters regularly).
Then our Warm and Safe Wiltshire advice service can support them.
Every eligible household can receive £98 with the possibility of a further £49 if they are in particular hardship. All households would be expected to speak to an energy advisor who can offer advice about budgeting, energy efficiency and income maximisation.
If you come into contact with a resident in hardship and you feel they would benefit from free energy please refer your client by filling in this secure form www.cse.org.uk/referral
