Family carers of people living with dementia are invited to meet others and learn more about the condition at a free training course in Trowbridge or Devizes from Monday.
Seven weekly sessions, run by Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support, aim to help people understand what their relative or friend may go through as their type of dementia develops. The meetings, which are relaxed and informal, cover all aspects of caring for someone living with dementia, including communicating effectively and the financial and legal aspects of caring.
The Trowbridge course will run on Monday mornings from 10am to midday at Trowbridge United Church. The second course is running at Devizes on Wednesday mornings from October 2nd.
