Join us for Ukrainian Christmas songs

Wiltshire Council Singers are holding their annual Christmas concert on Friday 16 December, a fun filled informal evening of Christmas songs. They will also be remembering Ukraine this Christmas and would like to invite all Ukrainian families spending their first Christmas in Wiltshire to come along.

They will be welcoming back special guest, Nicole Medin who performed at the choir’s special concert for Ukraine in March. Nicole’s family are in Lviv, and accompanied by her friend Andrew, also from Ukraine, they will be singing traditional songs sung in Ukraine at Christmas. With one of the songs being, Take Me Home for Christmas, this will be a very emotional and thought provoking moment.

Denise Drew, Choir Leader said; “Our annual Christmas concert is a great fun filled informal evening with fabulous songs and we warmly invite you to come and join us, meet your fellow Ukrainians and let’s celebrate Christmas together.”

The concert and singalong will take place on Friday 16 December, 7.30 – 9.30pm, at Holy Trinity Church, Trowbridge, to raise funds for Breakthrough Trowbridge.

Tickets costing £5 (under 16 s free) will be available on the door or can be reserved by emailing choir@wiltshire.gov.uk. A raffle will take place during the interval and wine and soft drinks will be available.
