Front of House Volunteer

21st August 2019, 12:53pm | By Katie Ackrill |

Town Hall Arts is a lively, creative community hub based at the old Town Hall, in the heart of Trowbridge.  We are currently developing its offer as a vibrant venue for the people of the town and are seeking additional members to join our current team of volunteers.  We are looking for people to assist with our front of house and recently expanded shop. We are looking for Front of House volunteers to help us provide a warm welcome and help create a friendly environment for users of the building.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming people to Town Hall Arts from the reception desk
  • Assisting with the recently expanded shop selling local art/cards/books
  • Making and serving hot drinks to customers

No experience is required to volunteer with us. However all volunteers will receive in-house training to help them carry out the daily tasks. Our aim to have a team of two people working together at all times, fully supported by a Town Hall Arts Duty Manager.

We welcome people who enjoy working with the public, have a positive attitude and are enthusiastic about Town Hall Arts as a hub for Trowbridge. Free tea and coffee will be provided and there will be social events held throughout the year.
