Trowbridge Laughs

31st May 2019, 3:25pm | By Tessa Slack | Event Date : 06/06/2019

After a hugely successful comedy night last year we are able to bring Trowbridge a monthly comedy night featuring some of the best comedians on the circuit, thanks to our partnership with the Backyard Comedy Club. With David Ward as our regular compere, and 3 brilliant comedians on the first Thursday of every month, we hope to build a real comedy club vibe that will ensure Trowbridge Laughs.

DAVID WARD
Presenter, writer and comedian David Ward, is fast making his name on the comedy circuit. David is a friendly, upbeat comic and we’re thrilled to have him back each month as our compere.

ANUVAB PAL
This is a rare chance to see the star of the BBC Asian Network. Anuvab Pal is an internationally renowned playwright, screenwriter, stand up comic and author. Starting out at The British Comedy Store when it opened in 2010, Pal has since toured across the nation with his acclaimed one man show.
“Very clever, very funny” – The Guardian
“India’s most intelligent comedian” – The New York Times

DANNY WARD
With a delivery and use of language that is uniquely his own, Danny has been delighting audiences both at home and abroad for over a decade with performances in over 16 countries and six solo shows at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival. He was also the winner of the coveted 2013 Amused Moose Peoples Champion Award for best show.
“A thoroughly entertaining show lots of laughter, great stories and amazing what you can do with spaghetti spoons.” — The Edinburgh Reporter
“Slick, quick, and packed with funny material.” — 3 Weeks Magazine

ALEX KEALY
Alex Kealy is a stand-up comedian who mixes political material with self-deprecation and relatable observations. He reached the final of the prestigious So You Think You’re Funny competition in his first year of performing.
“Rising star of the British stand-up scene” – The List
“Clever comedy…you’ve done yourself some internal damage from laughing so much” – Shortcom

Dates for this season: Thursdays 7 March, 4 April, 2 May, 6 June, 4 July, 1 August.
