Wanted in Wiltshire: Police Officer recruitment now open

29th September 2019, 11:56am | By David |

Wiltshire Police has opened recruitment for Police Officers for the first time in two years.

Applications are invited now for training from June 2020 at the earliest, based at Devizes Headquarters.  From 2020, the Force is offering three new entry routes:

  • A three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, leading to a BSc (Hons) in Professional Policing Practice
  • A two-year postgraduate Degree Holder Entry Programme, leading to a Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice
  • A pre-join undergraduate Professional Policing Degree – a three or four year university course you complete before applying to join the police service

To apply you will need Level 2 (GCSE or equivalent) in Maths and English and a Level 3 (A Level or equivalent educational qualification) or we may accept relevant experience.  You will need to be 18 at the start of training and there is no upper age limit, but you must be fit and healthy.  It’s a rewarding job, no two days are the same and you will be constantly challenged and learning.  For more information and to apply, please go to https://www.wiltshire.police.uk/Officers
