“Paths for All” gathers pace

23rd January 2020, 4:23pm | By richardrogers |

The Tidworth Community Area ‘Paths for All’ project was created to encourage and promote walking within the Tidworth Community Area and to support those parish councils, groups and individuals who are involved. It has some funding and access to expertise.

The steering group met last week and amongst other items, it heard about the newly formed Avon Valley Rights of Way Group that was a result of this project. The groups primary aim is to make circular walks which are accessible to all age groups. They have made an excellent start by putting n 4 kissing gates and refurbishing another gate to make a lovely circular walk which takes in the parishes of Enford, Fittleton and Netheravon. The Wiltshire Council Rights of Way officers have been supportive with advice and funding

The Paths for All project has representatives from most of the community area but is always keen to welcome anyone who shares the same aims. We have also begun discussions with MOD to see if we can work on some exciting joint projects.
