Improved signage on Salisbury Plain footpaths

24th September 2020, 3:15pm | By richardrogers |

A huge thank you to a group of volunteers led by Nigel Linge who working with the MoD and Wiltshire Council  insert, repair and replace rights of way signs across Salisbury Plain Training Area (SPTA – 11% of the County).

On 31 July the team resolved 41 issues and last Friday resolved a further 34.

Where restrictions due to Covid-19 allow, the group are continuing to carryout this important work making our rights of way so much easier to locate and follow.

If anyone is aware of any missing or damaged rights of way signs on SPTA, please send a photo and the location to richard.rogers@wiltshire.gov.uk and I will pass them onto the group to see if they can help.

Tidworth Area Board also has some funding that it can use to help promote and improve rights of way in the Tidworth community area which includes Ludgershall, the Chutes, the Collingbournes and much of the Avon Valley. Please get in touch if you think we can help.
