Here for Parent Carers of Children and Young People with SEND

30th March 2020, 2:02pm | By catherinerussell |

The Wiltshire Parent Carer Council (WPCC) is continuing to operate its telephone helpline and email service support to respond to enquiries and support as best they can. This service is for any parent carer of a child or young person with SEND living in Wiltshire (excluding Swindon), and the professionals who work to support them.

To make it easier to find information relating to COVID-19 as they receive it, the WPCC has created a dedicated section in its weekly newsletter, and new sections on its website: –

  • Coronavirus – Changes to Events, Courses and Activities,
  • Coronavirus – Information and Changes to Services,
  • and COVID-19 – Learning Resources and Activities.

The WPCC is receiving a significant amount of information and updates from a variety of sources, both locally and nationally, and they are doing their best to share this by updating their website as frequently as they can. They will also post information on their Facebook page as often as they can.

Join the WPCC on Tuesday 31st March 2020 at 10.30am when they will be trialling an online ‘Coffee Morning’ for parent carers.

See the WPCC website for details: www.wiltshireparentcarercouncil.co.uk or their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/The-Wiltshire-Parent-Carer-Council
