Earn while you learn! Have you got what it takes to be a Police Officer with Wiltshire Police

28th April 2022, 4:04pm | By David |

Police officer recruitment in Wiltshire is now open.

This is a great opportunity to join the Force and begin your career in an organisation where you can learn, develop and progress.

Applications are open for the three-year Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship, and the two-year Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice, for those who already have a degree.  Candidates have to be 17 or over at the time of application and must meet the stringent eligibility criteria which can be found on the Wiltshire Police website.

With a starting salary of £21,780 for the Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship and £22,536 for the Graduate Diploma in Professional Policing Practice, the salary rises to £27,030 on the successful completion of the degree and diploma, and continues to rise for seven years to £41,130, the maximum salary for a police constable.

Along with fully funded accredited training and annual salary increments post probation the role offers:

  • Great career progression and the opportunity to specialise
  • Ongoing training and personal development
  • To be part of a wider police family
  • Annual leave
  • Sick pay
  • Pension scheme

We are looking for resilient individuals whose first instinct is to help others. Those with a strong sense of community, who are calm under pressure, with a natural ability to communicate with people from all walks of life.

We’re particularly keen to hear from people who may not have considered a career in policing before and are from an underrepresented group, including women and ethnic minority communities.

If you want to make a difference and give back to your community this could be the job for you.

Interested in applying? Don’t delay, places for applications are limited.
