Crofton Winter Talks – The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway

23rd January 2020, 3:51pm | By richardrogers |

Friday 31st Jan 2020

Crofton is continuing its talks series through the winter up to our site reopening just before Easter. On Friday, January 31st, we are are delighted to host a member of the  volunteer team that run and maintain the railway who will tell us about the history and challenges of operating the oldest passenger carrying railway in the UK. The Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway is regarded by many as the finest way to visit Snowdonia and you will see why in the beautiful images from along the route.

The talk, graphic attached, will be held at the Kennet Valley Hall, Overton Rd Lockeridge SN8 4EL, at 7.30pm on Friday 31st January. The Hall will be open from 7.00pm when there will be food available and a cash bar. Tickets are £10.00 per person and can be booked through www.eventbrite.co.uk or by email to reserve your ticket and pay cash at the door through events@kvh.org.uk or by phone to 01672 870300

All proceeds from the evening go towards maintaining our historic industrial heritage at Crofton Beam Engines.
