New funds to tackle loneliness

17th September 2021, 12:02pm | By Karen |

Wiltshire has some amazing volunteers and projects tackling the issue of loneliness and social isolation.  The South West Wiltshire Area Board helps to support these with funding, guidance and by convening networking events to help projects learn from and share with each other.

This week a new Government fund has been published to further support this great work.

The Loneliness Engagement Fund provides small grants between £15,000 and £50,000 to organisations who can engage with target groups at high risk of loneliness. The fund will give out up to £260,000 of grants in total.
