Art Group Volunteers

27th June 2019, 12:23pm | By Annie Clayton |

Alzheimer’s Support is looking for volunteer helpers at our Art Group in Warminster.

The role involves helping to set up, providing a friendly welcome and supporting members where needed. Volunteers also help to serve refreshments during social time and clear away at the end of the group session.

Creating art has been shown to be particularly helpful for people living with dementia, who can enjoy the process of being creative and feel a sense of achievement.

We will provide training in dementia awareness and you will have on-going support from the group facilitators (including the qualified artist who helps to run the group).

So if you are available on Monday afternoons and would like to find out more please contact Annie Clayton on 01225 776 481 or anniec@alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk or visit our website https://www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk/
