Spurgeons Young Carers

17th July 2017, 1:07pm | By Penny |

If you are aged between 16 years and 25 years and help care for someone in your family then you could be a young adult carer and entitled to a service to help you.  We understand the worries and difficulties you may experience as you make the transition into adulthood and are beginning your adult life; the added pressure of juggling work or studies with your caring role, the possible effect on your own health and emotions, difficulty with relationships or choices for your future.  Spurgeons can help by giving you someone you can talk to. We can make sure the correct support is in place for the person you care for, help you make choices about education and employment, check you are receiving the correct benefits, and enable you to meet other young adult carers in similar circumstances and get a break from caring.
