Dementia friendly southern Wiltshire

14th February 2020, 3:03pm | By Karen |

The next public meeting of the Southern Wiltshire Area Board is taking place on the 12th March, 7pm at Alderbury Village Hall.

One of the main topics for discussion will be how well we are doing to support local people living with dementia.

At the last count we have around 30 voluntary and community led groups meeting week in week out in local villages, providing activities and companionship for older people, including those living with dementia.  Come and hear from some of them about their work and get tips on how to set up your own local group.

The meeting will also provide key updates on local initiatives, reports from local police teams, information on planned highways works in the next year, and a chance to have your say on where the area board should direct its grant funding.
