Area Boards Are Back!

11th September 2020, 12:16pm | By Karen |

Join us on the 1st October at 7.00pm for the first public virtual meeting of your local area board since lock-down began.

So much has happened since then, and it is even more important now that we come together to reset local community priorities to ensure funding, action and focus is properly targeted.

Supporting eco-friendly village projects, helping our vulnerable older people to live well amidst all that continues to unfold around us, encouraging our young people to stay positively engaged in healthy activities, tackling speeding and fly-tipping, are just some of those the issues we will need to discuss.

Have a look here at the revised data concerning your local village and population. This was pulled together just before lock-down, and we need to discuss how this data, and your experiences during this pandemic influence that community priority resetting process.

As a virtual meeting held on MS Teams, we have a new way for you to link into these discussions.  You could join us as an observer, or as an active participant.  I would much rather the latter.  The full agenda will be published during the week beginning the 21st September and will include instructions on how to link in to the meeting.  In the meantime, here are some guidance notes you might like to read to get ahead.

For any more information, please call me on 01722 434697 or email me: karen.linaker@wiltshire.gov.uk
