Silver Sunday in Salisbury

1st October is International Day for Older People and Silver Sunday is the name given to the first Sunday after that.  

 

This year Salisbury is launching its first Silver Sunday programme of free events for older people spanning the fortnight from Tuesday 25th September to Monday 8th October.  Most events are drop in: people unable to use public transport should contact AgeUK Wiltshire. 

 

This is the first time we have done Silver Sunday in Salisbury and I am very grateful to the many groups who are contributing to make it a special, not to be missed fortnight.  To be successful, we need as many older people to participate. 

 

There will be additional information on specific events at the end of August, but in the meantime, drop in to Five Rivers Health & Wellbeing Centre or the Library, or contact Karen Linaker on 01722 434697 Karen.linaker@wiltshire.gov.uk for details of the programme.
