Building Connections in Wiltshire

Wiltshire Community Foundation is holding two workshops as part of its Loneliness Uncovered project to increase awareness and collectively consider ways to build connections to reduce and prevent loneliness and isolation.

The workshops are a forum to bring organisations together, from across Wiltshire, who provide day to day activities that connect people and address loneliness aim to:

· map current provision and activities (those provided by statutory services, the voluntary sector and local community organisations);

· identify gaps and needs and priorities, and

· collaboratively consider challenges and identify potential solutions

They are hosting the workshop in two locations and would be delighted for any interested individuals, voluntary or community groups to take part in the events and share their knowledge and experience.

The workshops are being held in:

Salisbury – Tuesday 11 June 2:00pm to 4:30pm

The Friary Community Centre

OR

Devizes – Thursday 20 June, 9:30am to 12.00pm

Devizes Town Hall

The workshop will comprise a short introduction and discussion sessions which will look at the issues surrounding loneliness in Wiltshire, what is currently being done to address these issues and what more could be done to connect people. If you wish to attend please contact Maggie Watson on 01380 729284 or email Maggie.watson@wiltshirecf.org.uk
