Could you be a listening volunteer with Salisbury Samaritans?

26th March 2019, 12:45pm | By |

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to volunteer with the Samaritans, here’s your chance to find out more.

We’re holding an information evening on Tuesday, 26 March at 7pm when you’ll be able to ask questions and learn about being a listening volunteer.

You don’t need any experience, as new recruits are given thorough training.

Every 6 seconds, Samaritans answers a call for help. It’s thanks to 20,000 volunteers in 201 branches across the UK and Ireland that we can be here for anyone who is struggling to cope, day or night, 365 days a year.

Samaritans needs new volunteers more than ever, to make sure there’s always someone to answer the phone. You’ll be working with a friendly, dedicated team, and all volunteers receive ongoing support.

We look forward to meeting you at 42 Milford Street, Salisbury. Find out more by emailing recruit@samaritansofsalisbury.org.uk

There’s more information about the Salisbury branch, as well as information evening dates, at www.samaritans.org/branches/salisbury

Samaritans offers emotional support 24/7. Anyone can use the service by calling freephone 116 123, or emailing jo@samaritans.org
