Carer Support Wiltshire are continuing to run a number of virtual ‘cafés’ and support groups for unpaid carers across Wiltshire, providing spaces for carers to meet and support one another, share experiences and just take some time out from looking after someone.
An unpaid carer is anyone who cares for someone who could not otherwise manage without their help. A carer might be looking after a child, parent or other loved one, or a friend or a neighbour, who has a disability or long term illness or health condition, including a mental health condition or addiction.
Caring for someone can be difficult at times and stressful, especially during current times. Carer Support Wiltshire has adapted many of its services that have been unable to take place face-to-face and also created new ones.

Carer Support Wiltshire are also running a ‘Talk and Support’ service, which partners carers with a volunteer who stays in regular contact by phone or video call. Volunteers are fully trained and many are former carers – they can provide a listening ear, support and just someone outside of your family to talk to. Contact Carer Support Wiltshire to register.
