Recruitment for Contact Centre Operators opens at 9am on Monday 27 June.
This is a great opportunity to join Wiltshire Police in a role where you can learn, develop and progress.
Are you calm in a crisis? Do you have excellent listening skills? Are you good at decision making?
Our 24/7 Crime & Communications Centre in Devizes is home to our Contact Centre Operators. Working at the heart of our frontline, handling 101 and 999 calls from the public, our Contact Centre Operators are the first point of contact and response during incidents and emergencies. They are the voice of calm at times of crisis and in challenging situations, and reassurance as they coordinate help and support.
If you can communicate with people from all walks of life, can empathise with others, have an inquisitive mind, good attention to detail, and can thrive in a high pressure environment, this could be the role for you.
Along with full training and salary increments post probation, the role offers:
- Great career progression and the opportunity to specialise in Crime Recording, Incident Bureau and Incident Control
- Ongoing training and personal development
- Being part of our dedicated Contact Management team and the wider police family
- Generous annual leave with set shift patterns (24/7)
- Good pension scheme
We are looking for resilient individuals whose first instinct is to help others. We want to create a more diverse workforce and are particularly keen to hear from individuals from under-represented groups in policing, including people from an ethnic minority background, or with a disability or other protected characteristic.
If you want to make a difference and give back to your community this could be the job for you.
