Anyone for tennis?

29th July 2020, 10:10pm | By Paul Meakin |

Royal Wootton Bassett Tennis Club has re-opened its courts for use by members of the local community under a ‘pay and play’ scheme.   Courts at the Gerard Buxton Sports Grounds are available to book by the hour for singles or doubles tennis.   Booking is online via the Club’s website and courts are available from 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and all day over the weekend.

Sport plays such an important part in the lives of many people, improving our physical and mental well-being, and the past few months have been very tough for those who love to be active.  As we come out of the covid-19 lockdown we all need some fun and by resuming pay and play bookings the Tennis Club hopes to encourage more people to try out the game.  Tennis is recognised by the Government as being a safe sport to play, and the Club has put in place measures recommended by the Lawn Tennis Association to protect the health of players.

With summer firmly here, it is time to find a playing partner, book a court and make the most of the top-class tennis facilities on your doorstep!
