UPDATE: Shape Up 4 Life weight management programme 14+

Wiltshire Council is pleased to announce updates from our weight management provider Solutions 4 Health who deliver the Shape Up 4 Life group weight management programme. Shape Up 4 Life is now accepting referrals from 14 years old and have recently launched an online weight management support service.

What is it?

Shape Up 4 Life (SU4L) a FREE 12 week weight management programme that supports people to lose weight and keep it off long term.
Run in groups of 12 – 15 people both daytime and evening in community settings or completely online; sessions are interactive, practical and discussion based.
Each 1.5 hour weekly session consists of a 45 minute nutrition workshop covering topics such as snacking, portion sizes, fats and sugar. Followed by 45 minutes of light exercise such as circuits, boxercise, resistance bands and seated exercise.

The programme focuses on changing behaviours, increasing activity levels and making educated choices in order to lose weight.

  • Aged over 14 with a BMI ≥ 30 kg.m² or ≥ 28 kg.m²  for those with other conditions (those aged between 14 – 16 will be required to attend with a parent or guardian and have a BMI over the 91st Centile).
