Tree planting across Pewsey Vale to commemorate Armistice 100

9th November 2018, 9:06am | By Ros Griffiths |

Wiltshire Council, Pewsey Vale parishes and schools are commemorating Armistice 100 by the planting of over 100 new trees over the coming 7 days.

Pewsey Vale’s new trees form part of more than 10,000 trees to remember the Wiltshire soldiers who gave their lives in World War One.

Wiltshire Council has supported more than 100 community groups and schools who will be planting thousands of trees in November one for every Wiltshire soldier who died during the conflict.

The project to plant 10,000 trees across Wiltshire has been made possible due to the generous support of The Woodland Trust who are donating all the 10,800 trees.
