How would you make a difference?

What would you do to get the voice of young people heard in Wiltshire?

Have you got a view on issues concerning young people, such as the votes at 16, knife crime and others?

Ask yourself the question: What would you change if you had the power to influence it?

Young people are being encouraged to bring about social change by standing in the UKYP elections.

The UK Youth Parliament offers 11-18 year olds the opportunity to make a difference in their area, by representing young people and making their voices heard.

Laura Mayes Cabinet Member for Children said: “We place great importance on the views of young people and I would encourage all 11-18 year olds with a passion to make a difference in Wiltshire, to apply.”

Wiltshire has three seats on UKYP. You will be standing for election in the area where you attend school. The three seats are Wiltshire East, Wiltshire North and Wiltshire West.

For more information or to apply, visit www.wiltshire.gov.uk/children-young-people-voice, email voiceandinfluenceteam@wiltshire.gov.uk or call 07342 064355.

The application deadline is Monday 26 November 2018.
