Village footie players will be able to keep their eye on the ball no matter what time of year it is thanks to new floodlights.
Seend United Football Club started a fundraising campaign to get floodlights at The Lye Field and are now celebrating success.
Lewis McMullen from the club said: “Seend United FC wanted floodlights at The Lye Field in order to train in the dark and through the winter.
“The lights are hopefully the start of what will be years of use for many players and teams. We are encouraging people to book the top of the Lye Field for training sessions as they aren’t just Seend United’s lights but instead belong to the village and community.”
Mr McMullen said: “His generosity helped get the lights done and we also want to thank Wiltshire Council who helped fund over half the costs. They too saw the need for these lights and what they will bring to the community.”
