Support workers urgently needed

22nd August 2018, 3:30pm | By Stephany Bardzil |

Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support is urgently seeking support workers to join its award-winning team in the Marlborough area. The charity has some lovely potential clients who need support and companionship as soon as possible to continue doing the things they have always enjoyed.

The role does not involve personal care and a experience of working in the care sector is not essential. Empathy, life experience and common sense are far more important and full training and on-going support is given to ensure people feel confident in the role.  Visits are normally two or three hours so there is time to build relationships and enjoy outings.  The service was named Best Dementia Team at the National Dementia Care awards last year.

Hours are flexible to fit in with your lifestyle and there is no weekend or evening work. The hourly rate starts at £8.95 and there is paid travel-time, mileage and a health plan.  To find out more or apply online https://www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk/support-worker
