Family carers of people living with dementia are invited to meet others and learn more about the condition at a free training course in Mildenhall this autumn.
The course, run by Wiltshire charity Alzheimer’s Support, aims to help people understand what their relative or friend may go through as their type of dementia develops. Seven weekly sessions cover all aspects of caring for someone living with dementia, including communicating effectively and the financial and legal aspects of caring
Alzheimer’s Support CEO Babs Harris said: “We have developed these courses over several years and we know how beneficial it can be for people who are caring for someone at home to have information and guidance on a range of subjects, but also a chance to meet others and share experiences.”
The course will run on Friday mornings from 7th September 7 to 19th October at Mildenhall Village Hall. For more information or to book a place call 01380 739055 or go to www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk.
