Pop-Up Youth Cafe

8th May 2017, 11:49am | By Tom |

Wiltshire YFC has two large gazebos and the resources to run a Pop-Up Youth Cafe in your community.

A Pop-Up Youth Cafe is a temporary space created to standalone or support other community events. Each gazebo is 6m x 3m and we are able to set up cafe tables, chairs, have different games, activities and refreshments available for young people to come along and enjoy. The Pop-Up Youth Cafe works best when run in partnership with a local community group. We have and are working with Local Youth Networks, Wiltshire Council and local churches to deliver this project. We have also used the gazebo to create a space in a local school for youth workers to carry out research for with young people. Both gazebos provide a dry space and can be set up in parks, green spaces, car parks and other communal spaces.

During summer 2015 we ran a Pop-Up Youth Cafe for a week in a park Calne in partnership with the Local Youth Network and connected with over 50 young people. In 2016 we delivered the Pop-Up cafes Trowbridge and Devizes in partnership with Local Youth Networks.
