parkrun comes to Marlborough

17th September 2018, 3:58pm | By andrewjack |

Marlborough’s brand new parkrun begins this Saturday at 9.00am.  Funding from Marlborough Area Board and Wiltshire Sports Partnership, along with a lot of hard work from dedicated volunteers has brought the weekly timed runs to Marlborough Common.  Taking place every Saturday morning at 9.00, the 5km runs are free and open to everyone no matter their ability.

Whether you are Marlborough’s Mo Farah, looking for a jog along with the dog or just planning a steady walk, anyone can come along and take part in the accurately timed 5km events with no pressure and no time limits.

Go to www.parkrun.org.uk/marlboroughcommon  to find out more information about the event and sign up for your timing barcode.  This will be scanned by the volunteers to record your time, so don’t forget your bar code!
