Marlborough Area Board meeting, 29th January 2019

25th January 2019, 11:58am | By andrewjack |

Find out the latest news from Marlborough Area Board, including how the new Health & Wellbeing group got on during their first meeting!

Marlborough Area Board’s next meeting takes place on Tuesday 29th January in the Town Hall.  There’s coffee and networking from 6.30 and the meeting starts at 7.00.

This month’s meeting is about updates – We’ll hear from our partners and find out what they’ve been up to in the last few months.  This will include a message from Wiltshire’s Police and Crime Commissioner and his plans for the next year’s policing budget.

Well also hear from Matt Bearne about a new weight loss programme coming to the Marlborough area.  So if you are thinking of a healthier you this New Year, come and find out about Shape Up 4 Health and how it can help you.

Marlborough’s new Health & Wellbeing group met for the first time on the 7th January and we’ll be hearing about how that meeting went.  Whilst there was a really good number of people there, we’re always looking for more people with a passion for health to join us.  Also, if you think you could become Marlborough’s “Carer Champion”, we’re recruiting to find the right person.

Finally on the night, the area board will be considering several new grant applications from all three of the grant schemes.  These applications add up to nearly £21,000 of support going into the Marlborough community!

If you’d like to find out more about the grants from Marlborough Area Board or anything to do with this meeting, please contact Andrew Jack, Marlborough’s Community Engagement Manager on 01225 713109 or andrew.jack@wiltshire.gov.uk
