Fitness Club Leader Required

24th January 2019, 9:48am | By Jo Banks |

Age UK Wiltshire will be setting up one of our popular Fitness & Friendship clubs in Marlborough later in the year.  We are keen to hear from anyone who would consider becoming a volunteer leader for this.
We will train you, free of charge, to be a LIFT (low impact functional training) leader.  This will give you all the necessary skills to run a club that helps to keep older people active, healthy, happy and involved in their community.
Ideally you will have:
•A background in fitness or healthcare
•Empathy and a liking for working with older people
•Enthusiasm and good communication skills
•A sense of fun!
The next training dates for the LIFT course are:  2/3 July & 9/10 July at West Lavington Village Hall

The clubs run twice monthly for a couple of hours in either the morning or the afternoon.  The emphasis is on low impact fun exercises for older people with a good dose of socialising and fun.

If you would like to find out more, please contact Sally Evans at Sally.Evans@ageukwiltshire.org.uk
