Walk of Life – Marathon, 16 mile & 10 mile sponsored walks

7th November 2019, 11:30am | By Maddy Jones | Event Date : 20200516

Join the Walk of Life and every step you take will make a difference to the lives of patients & families at the Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH). Walk in memory of a loved one, to show support for someone receiving treatment, as a patient yourself or to take on the challenge and celebrate life!

Taking place along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal, there are three distances you can take part in (all mileage is approximate):

➡Marathon – 26.2 miles: Bishops Cannings (near Devizes) – Bradford on Avon – Bath

➡Morning – 16 miles: Bishops Cannings (near Devizes) – Bradford on Avon

➡Afternoon – 10 miles: Bradford on Avon –Bath

Enter yourself or a team for £25 per person (£20 early bird rate for entries before 2nd December 2019). Team entry is open to friends, family and/or colleagues of 4 or more and you’ll be eligible for the Walk of Life Team Awards (biggest team and most raised) as well as an exciting new challenge on the day – more details coming soon!

You can choose to walk for any area of the RUH that is close to your heart. Entry includes a t-shirt, medal, water and snacks on the day, fundraising and training support, plus lots more.

This event is organised by The Forever Friends Appeal, the fundraising charity for the Royal United Hospitals Bath (RUH). With your help, they fund the hospital’s most urgent needs such as additional medical equipment for wards and departments, new buildings, facilities and patient services as well as finishing touches and extras that complement the existing high quality care provided to patients.

The Walk of Life 2020 is proudly sponsored by Kier Construction, M J Church & Savills.
