U3A in Kennet Coffee Exchange

7th February 2020, 4:58pm | By John Martin | Event Date : 20200227

The U3A in KennetCoffee Exchange” is a great opportunity to meet other U3A members, have a chat over coffee, enjoy a thoughtful presentation on local events in Marlborough, and get the latest U3A news.  For potential new members, this is a good way to learn if we’re for you. The next meeting is on 27th February at 10.30 till 12 noon at the Wesley Hall, Oxford Street, Marlborough. Entry is free

This month’s talk is about the Kennet Valley Oral History Project 2020, given by Jill Turner (U3A in Kennet Vice Chair) and AnnMarie Newbigin (Group Leader and former Executive Committee). It is a project organised by U3A along with The Marlborough History Society and The Merchant’s House. Its aim is to capture, preserve and analyse memories and experiences of residents from Marlborough and the surrounding villages to improve our understanding of the past and the present and then to share this information with local groups and the wider public.
