Area Board Funding available for Marlborough area

12th October 2020, 10:22am | By andrewjack |

Wiltshire Council recognised in its 2020/21 budget the importance of supporting local communities. Despite the financial challenges brought by COVID, the council confirmed that the funding it set aside will still be available for Marlborough Area Board to support local initiatives.

We therefore have funding for help with capital projects (buildings & equipment), for work with young people (mainly 13 to 19 years old) and a small amount of money for health and wellbeing work with older or vulnerable people. We have had very few applications with a lot of activities suspended due to COVID. However this may be a great opportunity to get ready for when we hopefully can all start again or to something a little different to help support those in our community.

The next area board meeting takes place on Tuesday 3rd November so do get in touch if you have ideas for projects!

You can find out more about all of these at https://www.wiltshire.gov.uk/council-democracy-area-boards

If you want to discuss a possible application, please contact Andrew Jack at andrew.jack@wiltshire.gov.uk or 01225 713109
