Thursday 2nd July

7pm – Monks Mix – a great selection of music, chat and spoken word with a report from our gardening correspondent Lester + Dave Witt chats to us about a possible inspiration for Turner’s picture of Malmesbury

 

8pm – History podcast Rogues and Rascals, episode 2, with Tony McAleavy. This one is about the manure wars in Elizabethan Malmesbury

 

8.30 pm John O’Brien takes us back to 1999 in Words and Music

 

9pm – DJ Chas Gould brings us his fab set of tunes!

 

 

Friday 3rd July

7pm – Monks Mix – a great selection of music + chat including a report from Roaming Reporter Lorna in the Forest of Dean aka our elf in the wood + Jacqueline Tong and Sara Gray bring summer alive with some summer poems, +  Abbey Fliers give us a run down of their activities.

 

9pm –  DJ Andy Somers is back with another fab set!

 

10pm – Sheer Music Podcast with Jon Ponting and Kieran Moore –

On this week’s Sheer Isolation Podcast we continue with our fascinating chat with the founder of Alcopop! Records, Jack Clothier.

We hear about how Alcopop! started thanks to a winning bet, why they launched the UK’s most expensive compilation album, and how labels can stay relevant in our changing world.

We also have new music from female-fronted pop rockers Swindon’s All Ears Avow, and a track from upcoming Devizes trio, NervEndings.

 

 

Saturday 4th July

7pm- The Wilkinson Family Radio Hour is back with a great selection of tunes + chat

8pm – Monks Mix – we’ll have wine tasting with Ben and Mandy from sipologistsocial.com and regular feature Sky at Night with Paul Hill from Awesome Astronomy podcast, along with lots of great music + Jacqueline Tong and Sara Gray bring us some more summer poems+ new feature on famous local author Richard Jefferies. We find out what he thought of Malmesbury in the 1860s. with the help of Jacqueline Tong.

 

9pm – BBB Takeover is back aka DJ Will Davies!

 

 

Sunday 5th July

7pm –  Malmesbury Sessions DJs Andy, Dave, Brian and Ben Gray chat to local musicians and play some tunes – operated live from London, Cambridge + Colorado.

 

9pm – Deviate DJs delight us with a brilliant new set…..

 

All shows are repeated from 3pm the following day and will be on our Listen Again page a couple of days after broadcast
