Movie By Moonlight presents ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’

9th August 2019, 4:15pm | By Maddy Jones | Event Date : 20190831

We will, we will, ROCK YOU! Get ready for this foot-stomping cinematic celebration of Queen, set above the twinkling lights of Bath. This popular outdoor cinema in Royal Victoria Park is organised by The Forever Friends Appeal (the charity for the Royal United Hospitals Bath) and is FREE, with a bucket collection on the night for patients and families cared for at the RUH – so not only will you be singing along to ‘We are the Champions,’ you’ll also be a champion for patients. No ticket needed, just turn up and donate!

Bohemian Rhapsody (12A) is an enthralling celebration of Queen, their music, and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury, who defied stereotypes and convention to become one of history’s most beloved entertainers. Following Queen’s meteoric rise, their revolutionary sound and Freddie’s solo career, the film also chronicles the band’s reunion, and one of the greatest performances in rock history.

The film starts at approx. 8.15pm (or when it gets dark), with gates open from 5.30pm. Please bring along your own blankets or chairs and get ready to enjoy the show. There will be these delicious local food vendors on site: The Scallop Shell, JC’s Kitchen, Fire & Brew, The Split Screen Ice Cream Co and Have! A Pinch. Picnics are also welcome (glass, knives and BBQ’s are not permitted on site).

Movie by Moonlight is proudly sponsored by Freestyle Designs.

Please be aware that as this film is rated 12A, anyone under the age of 12 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult.
