Community speedwatch, smart meters and health services among issues to be discussed at next week’s Malmesbury Area Board

The Malmesbury Area Board’s next meeting will be held on Tuesday 17 September, from 7pm, at Charlton Village Hall.

Networking and light refreshments will be available from 6.30pm, with the opportunity to chat to Healthwatch Wiltshire and local care providers.

Some of the issues we will be discussing include:

  • New Auto Speed Watch devices – what are they, how do they work and how might they keep our communities safer and reduce the workload of current volunteers?
  • Wiltshire Safe and Warm – information on smart meters and how to achieve a warmer home and affordable energy bills
  • Community services for older people – what is available, and how do the different roles work together?
  • Community grants – the Area Board will consider a number of applications. Funding is still available for this year, so if you think your community could benefit, please contact Penny Bell, Malmesbury Community Engagement Manager (below).

The full agenda is available on the Wiltshire Council website here.

We look forward to welcoming you to the meeting.

Penny Bell, Malmesbury Community Engagement Manager, penny.bell@wiltshire.gov.uk, 01249 706613
