Collection Volunteer

23rd August 2019, 12:29pm | By Liz Froud |

Julia’s House, The Wiltshire and Dorset Children’s Hospices provides practical and emotional support for families caring for a child with a life-limiting condition.

If you are looking to gain more experience in fundraising or looking for a flexible volunteering role to help raise vital funds for our service, then becoming a collection volunteer could be for you. You will attend bucket collections in all sorts of venues at various times throughout the year; from supermarkets and shopping centres to summer fayres, theatres and football matches.

You need to be a friendly and approachable person, and happy to promote and talk about the work that we do to people coming over to chat to you.

We are also looking for volunteers to help manage our collection cans in their local area by dropping them to local shops/businesses and collecting them when they are full.

Both are very flexible roles that can fit around you, and enables you to volunteer as little or as often as you like.

If you would be happy to get involved or would like more information, contact Liz Froud on 01202 644220 or email liz.froud@juliashouse.org.
