Get Walking – Activity Helper at Devizes Library

Volunteer Opportunity at Devizes Library

Do you have a couple of hours to spare a week on Thursdays between 2 – 4pm

We are currently looking for volunteers to support a new walking group based at Devizes Library. The walks will take place every Thursday afternoon from the library starting on 18 July.

The volunteer role involves registering people taking part at the start of the walk; setting up any equipment required; welcoming them back into the library and serving refreshments after the walk. There may be opportunities to help with other activities in the library including those for children over the summer. Volunteers will need to be confident about meeting new people and helping to make their visit as enjoyable as possible.

Devizes Library is a friendly and busy community hub, with an ongoing programme of events and activities for children and adults. If you enjoy meeting new people and would like to get more involved in your local library please contact Elizabeth Cook, Community Library Manager for Devizes and Market Lavington Libraries, on 01380 726878/9 or speak to a member of staff at Devizes Library.
