Swimmers using Wiltshire Council swimming pools can pick up a swimming loyalty card to get their tenth swim for free as part of a scheme to incentivise regular swimming. All pools have been reopened with new COVID-19 measures in place and limited capacities set per session to help promote social distancing, and feedback thus far has been very positive. Information on these measures, opening times of centres and how to book sessions can all be found at www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure-covid19.

The free loyalty card for swimming is available to pay as you go customers with nine purchased swims enabling the tenth swim for free. Simply get your loyalty card stamped or signed each time you swim and then arrange your free swim on completion of your nine qualifying swims.

Swimming has many different health benefits and can help promote aerobic fitness and muscular endurance without the impact stress of other activities due to the cushioning effect of the water. It can help you to maintain a healthy weight and heart as well as toning and strengthening muscles and can be great for people with limiting physical abilities or recovering from injuries.

Come and visit to your local leisure centre to see our safety measures in place, ask for a tour or come and have a swim to experience it for yourself. All sessions can be pre-booked at https://leisure.wiltshire.gov.uk/bookings/, with members having 7 day booking rights while non-members can book 2 days in advance.

For more information on swimming at Wiltshire Council leisure centres, and the swimming timetables at each centre, please visit www.wiltshire.gov.uk/leisure and select your preferred leisure centre.
