Strong turnout at seniors Area Board event

6th March 2020, 2:09pm | By Ros Griffiths |

A big thank you to everyone who attended the area board event at Wadswick Green retirement village earlier this week.

60+ residents participated in the meeting which was organised in partnership with Celebrating Age and Wiltshire Rural Music Centre.

The MC – creative facilitator and poet Jonny Fluffypunk kept everyone entertained, whilst music was provided by violinists Lucy and Beccy from Music on the Move (Wiltshire Rural Music) who also performed earlier in the day at schools in Lacock , Colerne and at the Birdhouse café in Box.

Views, thoughts and ideas were captured on a range of local issues which will be used to inform the work of the health and wellbeing group, attendees also fed back on creative, heritage and arts events they would like to participate in, helping to shape the Celebrating Age programme in Corsham.

Afternoon tea was enjoyed by all.
