Join our new Gardening Club

23rd August 2019, 10:46am | By Joanna Pazucha |

Alzheimer’s Support is opening a new monthly gardening club for people living with dementia and carers to attend together. It starts on Friday 27th September 2019, 10.30am -12.30pm, at John Coles Park in Chippenham, SN15 1NZ and will run on the fourth Friday of the month.

Club members will be supported to take part in sowing, planting, pruning, digging or weeding – whatever is seasonal. Everyone can do as much or as little as they want, and the group is open to both keen gardeners and complete amateurs.

Time will be set aside in every session for a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

The group is a partnership between Alzheimer’s Support and Forager’s Farm, a social enterprise company which runs projects across Wiltshire.

To find out more, call Kate Sharpe on 01380 739055 or email Kates@alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk.

To come along you can book your place online at www.alzheimerswiltshire.org.uk or call 01380 739055.

Please note there will be a small charge to cover the costs of materials. (Please speak to us in confidence if this is a problem).
