EVENING STROLL from HUISH

9th May 2019, 12:29pm | By David | Event Date : 12/06/2019

This event is part of the North Wessex Downs Walking Festival.

A lovely evening circular walk along the lanes around Huish with Dawn from Wilcot Parish Council.  Choose your starting point to suit you:  start at Huish for the 3-mile route, Draycot Farm for 2 miles or join the group at Oare for a 1 mile walk back to Huish. Taking in historical sites from Bronze Age barrows and an Iron Age Fort, the site of a Roman Villa, old and listed houses, a private arboretum and the Oare House Millennium Pavilion – that’s 5000 years of history in 3 miles!  Family-friendly.

Free. Limited spaces – booking essential.  Go to the North Wessex Downs website for more details and to book.
