Corsham Area Board Meeting, Thursday, September 20th, from 2pm

Tippett Room, Springfield Community Campus, Beechfield Road, Corsham

2pm to 4pm – The theme of the meeting will be “Connecting Communities” and will be a time of presentations, sharing, questions and networking and of course tea and cake.

One of the main reasons to hold this event, is to offer an opportunity to participate in a fantastic new campaign we’re rolling out in the Corsham community area, to help us to connect clubs, organisations and support services with those who wish to join or support them.

The Corsham area board is working in partnership with support services such as Carer Support Wiltshire, Age UK Wiltshire, Wiltshire CIL as well as community groups to deliver this Community Connections Project. The goal of this project is to reduce the incidence of loneliness and social isolation in our local area, and we’d like you to be a part of it.

We will hear from:

Carers Support – Introducing the above project

Wiltshire Centre for Independent Living – How an inclusive community led approach can help you make connections with potential new members, other groups and resources in your area #MakeSomeoneWelcome

Corsham Institute –To hear about a project that is just about to pilot in the Corsham Community Area that will offer benefits to clubs including organising, promotion, volunteers and it will be free!

Corsham Health and Wellbeing Group – 3 ways we can help you grow your organisation. Do we need a rethink about volunteering, funding and working together?

There will be plenty of time to share news with each other, network, chat, ask questions, seek advice or just meet new people

4pm to 4.30pm – Short business meeting of Area Board to share news and consider funding applications

Please note that we will be in the Tippett room, not the Brunel room.

Everyone is welcome and refreshments will be available from 1.45pm. I look forward to seeing you there
