Wessex Women Workshop

2nd December 2019, 3:50pm | By David |

Calling all Women – Wiltshire Museum wants to hear from you.

In celebration of ‘Trowel-blazing’ Archaeologist Maud Cunnington, whose finds form our current ‘Wessex Women’ exhibit, we are inviting local women to share their ideas and thoughts on work though an object that is important to them.

In this free one-off workshop at The Wiltshire Museum, we will work with a writer to inspire you to think about what work means, has meant and might mean to you in the future – before capturing the story behind the object you have chosen to represent your work-life.

Work means so many different things, caring, creating, parenting as well as the 9 to 5, and we understand and hope that the objects and ideas people share will be very varied.

Open to all women ages 18+

  • 7th December 2019
  • 1:30 pm – 4:00 pm
  • Lecture Hall, Wiltshire Museum
  • Cost: FREE, but pre-booking is essential

No experience of anything necessary – just bring yourselves, your object and your memories.

To find out more and to book a free place  go to https://www.wiltshiremuseum.org.uk/events-2/ and scroll to the Wessex Women Workshop
