Monday 11th May
Chippenham Museum are working with Wiltshire council and the Chippenham Local Youth Network to offer the young people of the area a fantastic opportunity to learn how to stay safe online. The Stay Safe Initiative CIC will be running a series of free, internet safety interactive ‘Virtual’ presentations, for young people who are home-schooled or due to the current COVID-19 situation are learning from home.
With us all being urged to stay in we know lots of young people are being forced to seek education, social connections and entertainment through digital means. These interactive sessions will allow them to safely navigate themselves through their rapidly growing digital lives. Covering Cyber-bullying, Cyber-Strangers (online grooming), social media. gaming and more.
The planned sessions will be run on Zoom on Monday 11th May and will be fully interactive for the young people. It is recommended that parents/carers join in as well. Age 7-10 presentation will start @1pm – Age 10-14 presentation will start @3.30pm. Each session will last around 90 minutes.
