Woodlands, Valleys and Fields around Chedworth
Sunday 2nd May, 10am, Moderate, 11 miles/18 km.
Proceeding on the Monarchs Way toward Chedworth Roman Villa and to Chedworth Village on the
Macmillan Way. We enter the Stowell Park estate at Fossebridge, before looping back to the cars. Please
bring your lunch. The walk starts Yanworth Mill, we meet at 09:45 for a 10:00 start and please park
thoughtfully on the grass verge across the River Colne from Yanworth Mill. Grid Reference: SP072129,

A Sunday Saunter from Sutton Benger
Sunday, 2 May, 2pm, Leisurely 4.9 miles / 7.9 km
We will be passing through Sutton Lane Meadows, taking in fields, paths and some road walking to Maud Heath’s Causeway. We turn at Godleys Farm to take the road towards Foxham. A Sunday Saunter from Great Chalfield
Sunday 9 May, 2pm, Leisurely 3.7 miles/6 km
Starting at Great Chalfield we follow a bridle path to head past Edgerton House farm until we get to St
Marys church. We then head for Broughton Gifford and follow the road and a footpath to the common, and then re-join the footpaths to bring us back to the cars. Please park thoughtfully along the road at Great Chalfield. Grid reference: ST860631. Nearest postcode: SN12 8NH.

A Sunday Stroll from Oaksey
Sunday 16 May, 2pm, Leisurely 4.3 miles/ 7km
This walk visits Lower Moor Farm and Swillbrook as well as the Cotswold Water Park. We should see
Snakeshead Fritillaries and could see Nightingales. The walk starts from Wiltshire Wildlife Trusts Lower

A Sunday Stroll from Warminster.
Sunday 23 May, 2pm, Easy 4.7 miles/7.5 km
This walk takes in Battlesbury Hill, Middle Hill and Scratchbury Hill with a total ascent of 196m, some of
which is optional. Highlights are ancient monuments and hopefully, butterflies.

Castle Combe and the Fosse Way
Sunday 30 May, 10am, Moderate, 11 mile/18 km
This walk starts from the upper car park in Castle Combe. We head out north-east to join the Fosse Way,
before heading across to Littleton Drew. We then follow the Macmillan Way through Castle Combe to Long Dean and finish with a lap of the racing circuit. Please bring your lunch.
